Winter Waves Headband

I am soooo excited about this headband! I live in Toronto, ON and the amazing April behind OTH Crochet Nook runs this meetup called Yarn VS Everybody. A few times a year we get to meet up and talk fiber things and make amazing friends!

One of the best parts of this is that we all got a loot bag! Inside was a super yummy skein of Caron X Pantone in Faerie Cake. I knew that I wanted to make something special with this as the meetup was such an amazing experience. I left it out in my living room so that I could see it from almost anywhere in my condo, it’s a tiny one bedroom so that wasn’t too hard.

One of the comments that a friend made at the meetup was that it was hard to make something with just one skein as it’s only 127 yards. You could make a hat from it, but no long tails etc. I wanted to design something that could easily be made with only one skein and highlight the beautiful colour changes in this yarn.

Laura from Last Minute Laura was one of my amazing testers

One Saturday night while watching some sporting event, I was staring at my yarn and the idea of a wavy headband hit me. The next day I played around with a few different stitches, and since I love puff stitches they ended up in the final design!
