The Aria Cowl
Hey There!
If you’re looking for a chunky, squishy cowl that will work up quickly, but also has some playful details then The Aria Cowl is exactly what you’e looking for!
The inspiration for Aria came to me as I was crocheting another project. I was hooking away and all of the sudden it popped into my head fully formed. I grabbed my notebook and drew a rough design, later that weekend Aria was born.

Popcorn – 4 dc in the same stitch, drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook from the front to back under the top two loops of the first dc of the group, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull through, ch 1
Fdc – Foundation Double Crochet *optional, a chain and dc option is given in pattern*
Fpdc – Front Post Double Crochet
Bpdc – Back Post Double Crochet
Notes:
This cowl is worked in the round, from the bottom up
Ch 2 never counts as a stitch
In most stitch dictionaries a Popcorn stitch is created with 5 dc, however in this pattern only 4 dc are used to create the stitch.
