Gossypium Pullover

Gossypium Pullover // Intermediate Crochet Pattern

//The Gossypium Pullover was part of Traveling Yarn’s book Handmade: Slow Fashion Inspired by Arizona’s 5 Cs

Now available as a single pattern directly from me in my own writing style.

I was inspired by the beauty of flowering cotton and how in its natural state it looks like little puffs of clouds on branches. The combination of fingering held with suri creates a cloud-like fabric, and post stitch and puff details on the sleeves pay homage to flowering cotton.

This pullover is constructed top down and in the round, and is designed to be worn with 3-5” of positive ease at the chest with no shaping through the body. The sleeves are balloon sleeves with lots of volume at the cuffs with post and puff st details. The ribbing is worked in turned rounds and the rest of the pattern is worked in a continuous spiral.

It comes in 9 sizes so everyone can make this beautiful pullover!
